"Strange is the affair of the Mu'min (the believer). Verily, all his affairs are good for him. If something pleasing befalls him he thanks (Allah) and it becomes better for him. And if something harmful befalls him he is patient (saabir) and it becomes better for him. And this is only for the Mu'min." [Hadith]
Strange indeed are believers, it’s as if they are always looking up at the sky and when the rain comes down they express joy while remaining firm on the truth i.e. by being grateful (and not arrogant) to the Most Merciful.
And when there is no rain they still look up at the sky and remain firm on the truth (i.e. patient) believing that ‘Indeed! Nothing bad comes from Allah’ and if this is what Allah the Most Wise has decreed then certainly His Decree is engulfed with His Wisdom.
